A huge Floating Crane was required to transfer the Boiler from the Feeder Barge to the Mother vessel.
This transfer was done at sea due to restrictions in he port area of Shanghai. This was a very complicated manoeuvre involving heavy plant and equipment. |

The Boiler is transferred from the Feeder Barge in Shanghai onto the Mother-ship. The Lifting Frame was made & designed specifically for the job and travelled all the way to the final destination. |

The Boiler has to be twisted during the lift in order to transfer across to the Mother-ship. A special hoist was used to perform this operation.

Load spreaders were added to the floor of the Mother-ship and were a specific requirement due to the weight and in order to rest & support the Boiler in transit. |
